The biogas project for organic waste is a systematic project that utilizes organic wastes (such as agricultural wastes, livestock and poultry manures, kitchen wastes, industrial organic residues, etc.) to produce biogas through the metabolic action of microorganisms under anaerobic conditions. Its principle is that anaerobic microorganisms (mainly methanogens and acid-producing bacteria) decompose organic substances in an anaerobic environment. Firstly, acid-producing bacteria decompose complex organic macromolecules (such as proteins, carbohydrates, fats, etc.) into simple intermediate products such as organic acids, alcohols, and carbon dioxide. Then, methanogens use these intermediate products to produce methane and carbon dioxide, among which methane is the main component of biogas.
